Oxford, ME- First wins never seem to come easily. Such was the case for Reid Lanpher on Sunday at Oxford Plains Speedway as he grabbed his first ever Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North main event.
Lanpher put himself in solid positioning for the start of the Speedway Homes 150 by capturing a heat race win and starting from the front row. However, Lanpher had to battle PASS standout Glen Luce and former PASS winner Joey Polewarczyk. Unfortunately, Polewarczyk’s day came to a smoky ending just past halfway. That left Lanpher to outduel Luce as he took command late in the event.
Cole Butcher made a late-race charge to take Second from Luce, who ended up Third. Former PASS North Champion Ben Rowe was Fourth and last year’s American Canadian Tour Champion Nick Sweet was Fifth.
