Take 6,000-plus hot rods, 150,000 people, 3,000 swap spaces and you have an immense rod run. By the way this is nothing new for the Daytona Turkey Run which used to be called the Daytona Turkey Rod Run but the influx of many different styles and years of cars and trucks has brought about change.

While it’s true you can see all sorts of car and trucks in every imaginable build style and to then throw in every color there are always the groupings of Tri-Five Chevys, early highboy hot rods in both coupes and roadsters, as well as classic trucks whether they be ’47 to ’54 Chevy or ’67-72 Bow Ties there are plenty of styles and makes for every hot rodder to find something to drool over.

The traditional hot rod or the trendier moniker…rat rods…were on full display. What was practically cool about these builds where that they weren’t confined to the more traditional builds but now rat rods come in all makes and years, car as well as trucks, and highly unusual builds. We found buses, vans, and cars from the ‘40s and ‘50s as well as the original selection of ‘30s cars and trucks.
