Here’s everything you need to know about following along with the mayhem and action from HOT ROD Drag Week 2017, powered by Dodge and presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive. We’ve got you covered whether you want to watch the race from the bleachers with us or from your home and garage — so keep glued to HOTROD.com/DragWeek for the latest updates, stories, and videos from the road!
How to spot the different classes:
With 400 cars across 18 classes, Drag Week is mammoth — but there’s a quick way to keep an eye on who’s racing who. On the windshield of every Drag Week car will be a sticker that identifies the car number and class. For example, 666B would be in Ultimate Iron.

Live Streaming, presented by Auto Meter:
David Freiburger and Brian Lohnes (you may even know him from MTOD’s Put Up or Shut Up) are back as the hosts and announcers of Drag Week, so you can expect no shortage of entertainment from the timing tower alone as these two gearheads call the play-by-play. We’ll go live for the first day of racing on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 8:00 AM (Central) and run until approximately 2:00pm each day until Friday. For Friday’s finals, the live stream begins at noon (Central) and runs until approximately 6:00pm. Keep posted HOTROD.com for the broadcast, or subscribe to Motor Trend’s YouTube channel for notifications!
On race days, there will be three run groups:
-First two hours of run time: All classes other than Street Machine Eliminator
-Next hour of run time: Street Machine Eliminator
-Final hours of run time until 2:00pm: Open to all classes, all cars
