HOT ROD Drag Week 2017, powered by Dodge and presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive
The vast majority of racing that happens on Drag Week is just about the e.t. Consequently, you’ll see cars spooling up turbos on the line long after their light has gone green and the driver in the opposite lane has launched. That all changes at sundown on Friday, as some of the quickest stick-shift cars created their own heads-up bracket in 2016 that we ran between Street Machine Eliminator rounds, which is also a heads-up elimination. The stick shift shootout made for some of the greatest battles at the tree and some of the most impressive driving, with the final race being won at the tree. For Drag Week 2017, many of the same drivers are back, and we expect them to pony up for the race. We got interviews and in-car video of some of the quickest cars that you can expect to see on Friday night’s stick shift showdown.
