A rainy Midwestern fall Saturday postponed the Eldora Fall Nationals to Sunday afternoon. That had little effect on Jeep Van Wormer and Nick Hoffman who scored $5,000 wins in the season Championship events at the facility.

The UMP Late Model feature restarted Sunday with 16 laps already completed. Van Wormer was leading when the rains came Saturday, and picked up right where he left off. Although challenged by Kent Robinson and Bobby Pierce, Van Wormer was too strong to be knocked out of the top spot. Pierce held on for Second and Robinson was Third. The Third Place finish helped Robinson secure the season Championship.
After hitting the wall during qualifying Friday, Nick Hoffman tore his way through his heat race which put him on the path to qualifying for the A Main. Hoffman drew the Fourth starting spot for the 30 lapper and quickly chased down pole sitter Trent Young. Hoffman took the lead on lap six and did not look back. David Stremme was Second, and Young finished Third just ahead of Kenny Wallace.
