Well, Day 3 on the LMC Truck C10 Nationals Week to Wicked Presented by Classic Trucks has come to an end—only two more days left to get our 1985 Chevy square-body rollin’, runnin’, and on its way to Vegas…destination SEMA Show 2017. As it stands (sits suspended in the air, to be more specific), it may end up coming down to the wire to meet that deadline. Or will it?
Jason, Christian, Ryan, and all the other hands in the cookie jar were able to get the Chevy LS376 dropped in the engine bay—sitting nicely with plenty of room between both the Holley dual-fan equipped Frostbite aluminum radiator and the freshly painted firewall thanks to the Energy Suspension-equipped Holley LS adapter mounts—followed by the Gearstar 4L75E (their beefed-up GM 4L70E complete with a Yank performance converter) with its tailshaft nestled atop the Hooker rear trans crossmember that came as part of the LS conversion kit and Hooker Blackheart full-length headers mounted up with no interference issues.
With the drivetrain install complete minus the driveshaft, all hands on deck quickly switched over to routing and connecting all the engine and transmission control harness wiring (part of the Connect & Cruise LS package), as well as miscellaneous wiring such as the adapter harness from LMC for their LED headlight upgrade and so forth and so on. The remainder of the C10’s wiring will focus on our complete vehicle harness kit from our friends at American Autowire, which will no doubt be a breeze thanks to their detailed schematics and individually labeled wires.
