The year was 2005 and the first thing Custom Classic Trucks’ new editor did was move the year cutoff for Chevy C10 trucks to be featured from 1972 up to 1987. The addition of Square-Body Chevys and GMC trucks to CCT coverage was a no-brainer and the acceptance of the longest running body style in Chevrolet truck history has grown by leaps and bounds ever since.

Flash-forward to the recently held 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas and the list of namebrand suppliers for Square-Body Chevy C10 parts just grew with Classic Instruments SEMA award-winning Direct Fit Gauge Set to the category. The folks at Classic Instruments of Boyne City, Michigan, had this to say about the win: “We are excited to announce that our new Square-Body Direct-Fit package for 1973-1987 Chevy and GMC trucks has secured a New Product Award at the 2017 SEMA Show. Displayed in the Street Rod & Custom Car category, the product was selected as the Best New Product Runner-Up. Released just months before the SEMA show, the package has already gained traction among square-body enthusiasts.”
Classic Instruments, in addition, garnered a Global Media award from Argentina’s gearhead media giant, New Tune Up; it doesn’t get any better than that!
