Carson Macedo was able to take advantage of a slip up by Ronnie Gardner to claim his first ever USAC Western States Midget A Main when the series paid a visit to Ventura Raceway.
Gardner, who had set fast time earlier in the evening, bobbled with just three laps to go, allowing Macedo to swipe the lead and cruise to victory in the 30-lap main event. Gardner held on for Second, Jake Swanson was Third, Robby Josett was Fourth, and David Prickett rounded out the Top Five.

Other winners on the night included: Bruce Douglass (Sprint Cars), Tommy Velasquez (Dwarf Cars), Rick Hendrix (Senior Sprint Cars), and Randi Pankratz (Focus Midgets)
The event was the final stand-alone race for the Western States series, which will join with the National Series for the final two events of the season at Bakersfield on Nov. 18 and again at Ventura on Nov. 23.
