Dalton will receive 55 gallons of fuel and a 5-gallon utility jug from Sunoco. He will also appear in the May 2018 issue of Car Craft. Take a few moments to read about Dalton and his journey below.
My name is Dalton Deffenbaugh, I am 19 years old from Lebanon IN. I drag race around the Midwest, and my home track is Lucas Oil Raceway in Clermont IN.
I have been racing since I was 8 years old. In my eleven years of racing, I have won more than 50 drag races.

4-Time Race of Champions qualifier w/ 2 runner up wins

1- Super Street Wally win
Qualified every year for the Eastern Conference Jr Dragster Nationals (age 8- age 15)
Qualified every year for the ET finals (age 15- age 19)
Drag racing is my life; I can’t imagine doing anything else. My entire family drag races: my dad races Super/Gas, my mom races Sportsman & Pink Ladies, my older brother races Super/Comp & Sportsman. This made the road to drag racing come easy for me. The Division 3 Fall Classic was my first attempt at Super/Street racing. This consists of throttle stop drag racing with a delay box and an index of 10.90 in the quarter mile. I borrowed my dad’s 1966 Chevy Nova and drove it to the winners circle my first time out. I will be campaigning my 1969 Chevy Nova SS in the 2018 Division 3 point series in Super/Street class.
