In partnership with Ford, Danish toy maker and masters of millennial childhood time-killing, LEGO, have added a 1968 Mustang fastback racecar to the LEGO Speed Champions lineup.

This little 183-piece tribute to the pony car legend will feature green bodywork, gold stripes and wheels, race graphic stickers, removable windshield and a driver wearing a classic race suit. The set also include a Ford-branded timing board.

The LEGO likeness of the Mustang is a tip of the hat to the 2018 Mustang launch, the most customizable model year to date. Ford and LEGO strived to bring the essence of building and modifying cars to young kids. “The new Ford Mustang LEGO Speed Champions set gives parents and children the chance to share their passions – generations of fans have grown up building LEGO sets and spending time together behind the wheel,” said Myra Lind, LEGO Speed Champions marketing manager. “This partnership of iconic brands allows kids of all ages to enjoy the latest products from two great companies.”

This addition to LEGO’s Speed Champions goes on sale March 1, 2018 and will join other iconic Ford vehicles like the GT40, Ford GT, F-150 Raptor, Fiesta WRC rally car, a classic hot rod, and 2015 Mustang.
