“So, what’s new?”
First up is a fresh version of our Official HOT ROD T-shirt, showing of a rad timeline of HOT ROD’s logos throughout its 70-year history. Since 1948, we’ve covered hot rodding in its many shapes, sizes, and colors as the culture has grown from the Salt Flats of Bonneville and the stop lights of So-Cal, to every drag strip, oval track, road course, and hill climb out there. Looking back, each era has its own character, and we’ll continue to evolve – which one’s your favorite?
Back by popular demand, Jon Kaase’s glorious, Vintage Class-winning Y-block V8 from Engine Masters Challenge 2015! This fan favorite, no small thanks to HOT ROD Garage’s Tony Angelo diggin’ it the most, is now a part of our regular inventory of ShopHOTROD.com shirts. There’s just something about a tunnel-ram that’s just so right. Kaase’s 400ci, 13.9:1 powerhouse churned 596 hp at 584 lb-ft of torque thanks to a pair of mad-science Mummert cylinder heads, those dual Holley 750s, and a gorgeous set of one-off Tri-Y headers.
Tank-Tops
Summer is around the corner — before you know it, your idea of air-conditioning may go back to the 2-60 theory: 2 windows down at 60mph! Whether you’re at the races or at the beach, this Official HOT ROD tank-top will keep you cool as a cucumber with a timeline of every logo from our 70-year history.
Hats (All-new for 2018!)
The new snapback hats have a rad slice of green under the bill, and have quickly become a favorite with the staff with the embroidered HOT ROD logo popping on the light grey material, which also does a nice job of keeping the heat off your noggin.
Plus, you spoke, and we listened – the embroidered hat is now available in Flexfit for a comfortable, modern look. Offered in two sizes, Flexfit hats have a bit of elasticity to them instead of a snap-back, sitting snug on the exact size of your brain bucket without any adjustment.
Hoodies
Get them while they’re hot — errr, well, warm and cozy, at least. It might be the spring, but there’s still time for a sudden snow storm or chilly night in the garage! Easily one of most requested items, now available again for limited time.
