The crowd just keeps growing and for good reason. If you’re the owner of a late-model rear-wheel-drive Mopar, you have a lot to be excited about. We’re talking about Chargers, Challengers, Chryslers, and Magnums. To celebrate this, we recently attended the 2018 Dodge LX Springfest held at Pomona Raceway just outside Los Angeles, California. To demonstrate how much excitement there is for this growing segment of Mopar enthusiasts, the threatening and sometimes rainy skies, didn’t dampen (pun intended) the festivities.
When we arrived around 8:30 in the morning we found hundreds of Mopars there with more still filing in. Besides the large gathering for the car show, Dodge also had an area cordoned off for ride-alongs in high-powered Chargers and Challengers.
On the dragstrip side, the misting and sometimes rainy skies didn’t afford a dry surface so that cars and drivers could test their muster down the quarter-mile aisle.
Still the crowd and participants had lots to see and do. Dodge had on hand a special booth with color samples where the public could vote on the color of their choice with their unique names for upcoming Dodge models.
While we were there we took dozens of shots to show how cool this event is. There was even one Challenger owner who came from Quebec, Canada. Check out the photo gallery, but better yet we hope to see you at the Dodge LX Springfest in your late-model Mopar next year!
