The Jacksonville Mustang club has been hosting car shows since 1991—their 120-plus members own every year Mustang, ranging from 1964 1/2 to the present. Their 16th Annual Regional show attracted more than 110 Mustangs to the Jacksonville Landing, one of northern Florida’s premium dining and night life locations as well as a perfect daytime venue for a car show. The city did its part, providing Chamber of Commerce weather in the low 70s, enjoyed by the enthusiastic crowd of spectators. Everything from restored originals, customs, dealer vehicles, and high-performance rides were on hand, with multiple clubs in attendance as well as vehicles arriving from surrounding states. The afternoon awards ceremony presented drivers with custom plaques, certainly to be appreciated and acting as permanent reminders of their fun event.

In addition to their love of the nation’s best Pony car, the club is also active within their community. For the last twenty years they have been involved with DLC Nurse and Learn, an inclusion child care center for children of all abilities, dedicated to helping the physically and mentally challenged from preschool to high school and beyond. The club has taken a personal interest in the center, providing specialty tricycles, chairs, cribs, and even carpeting the entire facility.

When they are not involved with their community connections, JMC also holds numerous automotive events throughout the year including their Annual Shine and Show for Mustangs only, an annual Charity Car Show, and a Club Picnic. If you’d like to learn more about this event and the club itself, you can find details on their website, www.jmcmustang.org.
