Pickup trucks have been on quite a rise in popularity in recent years, and there’s quite a few reasons why! Muscle cars have gone up in value, and while pickups have followed suit, the prices are not yet astronomical making them a popular choice among entry level hot rodders. Not only do you get the performance of American muscle, but you also get the practicality of a truck which means you can leave your lawn chairs at home and just take a seat on the tailgate at shows. Honestly there’s not much to hate about a pickup and there are lots of things to love!

The Viva Las Vegas show at The Orleans Hotel and Casino produced a huge variety of trucks ranging from patina rides slammed on the ground, a couple of rare COEs, more rat rod pickups than we could count, and even a couple gasser trucks! These work horses turned hot rods were one of our favorite parts of the show, so click through this massive gallery to see all the trucks you missed!

This Edsel looks to have been cross-bred with a ranchero to form a one of a kind Edsel truck, and while this was never a vehicle that was actually produced we think it should have been, ‘cause it rules!
You don’t see many cab over trucks (COE) around at shows, but man are they cool. This old COE looked just right in bare metal with its red wheels complete with a white stripe to give the illusion of white walls.
Sean McCarty finished up his 1959 F100 gasser the night before the show and actually hand painted on some forestry service graphics while at the event! He couldn’t get the front clip on by himself, but we still loved seeing the thing out there.
