The reintroduction of the Bullitt for 2019 has sparked much excitement, not only for Bullitt owners but for Mustang enthusiasts in general. There’s so much going on this summer surrounding the 2019 Mustang Bullitt that it’s hard to keep track of it all. The original 1968 Mustang from the movie Bullitt reemerging this year also brings light to the history of the car, and with the reintroduction, we know there will be a bright future as well.

If you’re a Ford or Mustang Bullitt fan, and you happen to be not busy from May 25 to June 3, we just found something for you to do. The Legend Lives Route 66 Tour is put on by Ford Motor Company, Team Mustang, and the Hoondog Performance Group (HPG). Ford and HPG came up with the event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mustang Bullitt.

If you’re a Bullitt fan, the Legend Lives Tour 2018 is a must-attend for you. The tour travels Route 66 from Chicago to the Santa Monica Pier in California. America’s Mother Road promises a good time from start to finish. Stops in Yukon, Oklahoma, and Winslow, Arizona—among others—will leave you with memories never to be surpassed.

HPG already has over 60 participants signed up, and Ford is supplying two 2019 Bullitt prototypes for the tour as well. All Mustang and Ford owners are invited to participate in the tour, which starts in Chicago on May 25 and ends at the Santa Monica Pier in Southern California. The tour comes to an end with a car show at Boys Republic in Chino Hills, California, which was Steve McQueen’s childhood boarding school.

You can either make the complete trip or join in as your schedule permits, but for more info, go to https://hoondogperformancegroup.weebly.com/2018-legend-lives-route-66-tour.html. You’ll be able to get more details, and also register for the event, as well.
