There is more than one show worth seeing at the 68th Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts presented by Meguiar’s Premium Car Care Products at the Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, California this weekend.
If you think you are going to get a break from the hectic goings on inside the seven buildings that make up the GNRS…think again! This is the 12th year for the Grand Daddy Drive-in hosted by Street Rodder and Classic Trucks complete with awards on Saturday and Sunday. The outdoor show is literally a “fluid” display between all of the buildings. Of course, what happens is those participating in the Grand Daddy Drive-In have the luxury of not only driving their hot rod to the show but ending up with the ultimate in preferred parking.
Over 600 hot rods showed up on Saturday for the outdoor gathering with Sunday promising to bring the final count upwards of 800. Now that’s a great weekend car show. Tune back tomorrow and checkout not only the Sundays fun but also see who wins the coveted America’s Most Beautiful Roadster award.
