It’s Thursday, just a few weeks from the New York International Auto Show, and that means Dodge has released a new teaser on the upcoming 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon on www.ifyouknowyouknow.com. Some people get excited about “loot crates,” while people like us are really lured in by something like the Demon Crate.
So what did we learn from drag racing Stig in this episode? SRT is is billing the Demon as an uncompromising brute, even leaving the front- and rear-passenger seats at the factory to save weight — so it comes as no surprise that there’s a trunk kit full of more special parts for a date at the drag strip.

The Demon Crate will house 18 pieces of the puzzle, including a set of skinnies with the tools necessary to swap the front’s 315-wide, one-off Nitto drag radials — which serve as “spares” for the rear — saving overall weight and unsprung mass on the nose when needed. SRT is also promising a handful of Demon Track Pack parts with the intention of optimizing the Challenger for the strip.
