As ubiquitous as the LS engine family has become, from street performance to restomods, there aren’t many LS-powered vehicles in the upper echelons of drag racing. All that will change with this revolutionary product. Dart’s new canted-valve LS engine cylinder heads are a game-changer for Chevy’s versatile engine platform. Not only are the intake and exhaust port locations reversed, but these heads offer the increased breathing potential of canted valve angles, with the valves located at 10- and 4-degrees off center. These heads accept 2.300-inch intake valves and 1.600-inch exhaust valves. The intake runner measures 368cc and combustion chamber size can range from 38- to 57cc, depending on your specs. Shaft mount rocker arms are a necessity, and require either offset rocker arms or offset lifters, depending on which configuration you choose, and you’ll need a matching, raised-runner intake manifold. Not much information about the performance potential of these heads exists. We can’t wait to get our hands on a set to see how they perform.
